Tomi is a fantastic vocalist with great presence. There was a lot of love going on there between the band and the crowd and that was super fun to watch. And while the band is on the more stationary side, the music is so engaging that the crowd really just steals the show. Or also Silent Waters, which I think is a criminally underrated record. They are mainly classified as a Heavy Metal band though. Following the breakup of Kyyria, Santeri joined Amorphis as a full-time member.

Especially when we got it from our 11th studio album. They concert was performed at an outdoor venue. I absolutely love the blast beats and guitar leads that carry this track, as well as the vocal melodies in the chorus. Pasi and Tomi shared the vocals on an equal basis, with Pasi providing only clean parts. One thing I was somewhat disappointed by was the live mixing.

Also I really loved the synth solo by keyboardist Santeri Kallio on this track. And I can say that this was a much tougher show than I remember them playing 18 years ago. The band met everyone's expectations by performing passionately and interacting with the audience at any moment that seemed fitting. On January 17, 2013, the band announced the title and release date for their next record. The album recording process featured the band's former bass player Olli-Pekka 'Oppu' Laine replacing Amorphis' longtime bassist Niclas Etelävuori who left in April 2017 after their North American tour due to disagreements with the band's management, making this the first time since Tales from the Thousand Lakes that all the original band members had played on an album together. Overall I thought it was an incredible show, although I would love to see them again with a better live mixing so they can really blow me away. The album was certified gold in Finland on July 7, 2011, making it the third Amorphis album in a row to do so.

The setlist was a good cover of newer stuff, but I would've loved to hear something from Tuonela or Elegy. We unfortunately missed most of Nailed to Obscurity due to travel time from outside of Stockholm, but we did catch the end of their set and they sounded great. . The poems do not form a complete story per se, but they are drawn together by a certain theme. Fortunately for me, they played a lot of songs of their last two albums, so I knew a big part of the setlist.

They did one hell of a job. They released their next album, , on September 3, 2007, achieving gold certification in Finland for the second time. The other band members were incredible as well, the songs were played really tight and they all looked like they had great fun playing on stage. I would recommend that anyone who has a chance to watch this band should take that chance. His first album with the band, , was released in 2006. The tenth-anniversary compilation was released. I took up this opportunity and I am sure glad I did.

The album marked the first time in the history of the band that an album was recorded with the same personnel as the previous one. The shows included festivals such as , , and , with many other tour dates and festivals included. Also, like with Soilwork, some lead guitar and vocal parts were a little too low. But in this story, the protagonist was invited among the wise men's circle. The show was great and the vibe was pretty electric at times.

Amorphis is a Finnish band that was formed in the year 1990 by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari, and Esa Holopainen. During that time, Koivusaari also performed rhythm guitar, leading to the band dumping all original compositions and starting over again. Back in the days, when there was something special to talk about, wise men used to sit in circle. Reoccuring situations where hope and uncertainty alternate. On 15 June 2015, the band announced the upcoming twelfth album titled , with the and track list revealed and with a release date of 4 September 2015. Amorphis head to London as part of a huge European tour in early 2019.

The atmosphere that was created at this performance was fantastic. Unfortunately I could only catch Soilwork and Amorphis, but you should also check out the other bands, they both released some awesome new music this year. During the tour that followed, the band briefly reunited with Pasi Koskinen and other past members such as keyboard player Kim Rantala on stage, to perform some of the older songs. I finally got to see them. Not everyone was invited to join them.

This was such an epic track to start the show with, it immediately set a great mood for the rest of their performance. This translated well to the crowd, as everyone seemed to have a wonderful time, like I did as well. After the intro ended, the band came on and kicked in with the first single of that album, Arrival. The lyrics were often terrifying and aggressive yet oddly captivating: the band often use the Kalevala, the Epic Poem of their home country Finland, as source material for their lyrics. In support of Silent Waters, Amorphis launched their third headlining tour in North America alongside supporting acts and. So much energy and the sound was great. A highlight of the show was definitely the song Heart of the Giant.
